Project Overview:
We are seeking an experienced nurse to join our caregiving team on a contractual basis, with a focus on providing personalized care for our elderly parents. This role involves memory care, assistance with daily activities, and offering emotional support to help our family caregivers cope with the demands of dementia caregiving.

Responsibilities:

Memory Care: Provide specialized memory care techniques and interventions to support our elderly parents in managing their dementia symptoms, promoting cognitive stimulation, engagement, and overall well-being.
Activities of Daily Living: Assist with activities of daily living, including personal care, hygiene, mobility support, meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks, to promote their comfort, dignity, and independence at home.
Emotional Support: Offer compassionate and empathetic support to our elderly parents and our family caregivers, providing reassurance, validation, and comfort amidst the challenges of dementia caregiving.
Caregiver Education: Provide education and guidance to family caregivers on dementia care techniques, communication strategies, behavior management techniques, and self-care practices to enhance their resilience and well-being.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with healthcare providers, including geriatricians, neurologists, and dementia specialists, to ensure coordinated care and optimize treatment strategies for managing dementia symptoms and promoting overall quality of life.
Requirements:

Certification as a registered nurse with experience in dementia care or geriatric nursing.
Proficiency in memory care techniques, including validation therapy, reminiscence therapy, and sensory stimulation, to support individuals with advanced dementia.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals living with dementia and their families, providing compassionate support and guidance.
