Team Overview:
We are a dedicated team of nurses committed to providing specialized care for children with developmental needs. Our focus is on delivering comprehensive early intervention services and applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to support the developmental progress and social integration of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and developmental delays. As a team, our primary goal is to collaborate closely with families and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize the care and well-being of our young patients.

Project Overview:
We are seeking experienced nurses to join our caregiving team on a contractual basis, with a focus on providing specialized care for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and developmental delays. This role involves delivering early intervention services, implementing applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy, and offering support for families to promote the developmental progress and social interaction of our young patients.

Responsibilities:

Early Intervention Services: Provide comprehensive early intervention services tailored to each child’s specific needs and developmental goals. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assess developmental milestones, identify areas of strength and challenge, and develop individualized intervention plans to promote skill development in areas such as communication, social interaction, and adaptive functioning.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy: Implement evidence-based ABA therapy techniques to address behavioral challenges and support the learning and development of children with ASD and developmental delays. Design and implement behavior intervention plans, conduct functional behavior assessments, and deliver structured ABA sessions to teach new skills, reduce challenging behaviors, and promote positive social interactions and communication.
Family Support and Education: Offer guidance, education, and emotional support to families as they navigate the complexities of caring for children with ASD and developmental delays. Provide training on behavior management strategies, communication techniques, and supportive interventions to empower families in supporting their children’s development, fostering positive interactions, and creating nurturing and inclusive environments at home.
Collaboration: Work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including pediatricians, developmental pediatricians, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure coordinated and holistic care. Communicate regularly with team members to share information, discuss progress, and address emerging needs or concerns, promoting continuity and effectiveness of care delivery.
Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess the progress, developmental milestones, and response to interventions of each child to evaluate the effectiveness of early intervention services and ABA therapy. Use standardized assessment tools, developmental screenings, and observations to monitor changes in the children’s skills, adjust intervention strategies as needed, and optimize their developmental outcomes.
Requirements:

Certification or licensure as a registered nurse with experience in pediatric nursing, developmental pediatrics, or early intervention services.
Proficiency in delivering early intervention services and implementing applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy techniques to support children with ASD and developmental delays.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with children, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams in a compassionate and supportive manner.
Compassion, empathy, and a genuine commitment to promoting the well-being and developmental progress of children with ASD and developmental delays, supporting them and their families with sensitivity, patience, and respect.
