Our primary goal is to provide comprehensive care and support tailored to the child’s unique sensory needs, promoting sensory regulation and emotional stability.

Project Overview:
We are seeking a nursing team with expertise in pediatric care and sensory integration to collaborate with us in developing and implementing an individualized care plan for the child. This project involves providing sensory integration therapy, sensory diets, and environmental modifications to support the child’s sensory regulation and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:

– **Sensory Integration Therapy:**
– Implement sensory integration therapy techniques to help the child process and regulate sensory input effectively.
– Engage the child in sensory-based activities and exercises designed to promote sensory processing and integration across various sensory modalities.

– **Sensory Diets:**
– Develop and implement a personalized sensory diet tailored to the child’s sensory preferences and sensitivities.
– Provide guidance to the child and their caregivers on incorporating sensory activities and strategies into their daily routine to support sensory regulation and emotional stability.

– **Environmental Modifications:**
– Assess the child’s home, school, and community environments to identify sensory triggers and sources of sensory overload.
– Recommend environmental modifications and adaptations to create sensory-friendly spaces that support the child’s sensory needs and minimize sensory challenges.

– **Collaboration and Education:**
– Collaborate with the child’s caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting the child’s sensory well-being.
– Provide education and training to caregivers and educators on understanding the child’s sensory needs and implementing sensory-supportive strategies effectively.

Requirements:

– **Qualifications and Experience:**
– Registered nurses (RNs) with experience in pediatric nursing or developmental pediatrics, preferably with expertise in sensory integration therapy and autism spectrum disorder.
– Knowledge of sensory processing principles and evidence-based interventions for promoting sensory regulation in children with ASD.

– **Skills and Competencies:**
– Strong assessment skills to evaluate the child’s sensory processing patterns, sensory preferences, and areas of sensory dysregulation.
– Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with the child, their caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members in developing and implementing the care plan.
