Project Overview:
We are seeking an experienced nurse to join our caregiving team on a contractual basis, with a focus on providing specialized care for our mother living with chronic kidney disease and depression. This role involves medication management, coordination of psychotherapy sessions, and offering compassionate support to help her cope with the emotional impact of chronic illness.
Responsibilities:
Medication Management: Assist in managing medications prescribed for depression, ensuring adherence to treatment plans and monitoring for efficacy and potential side effects. Collaborate with healthcare providers for adjustments as needed to optimize treatment outcomes.

Symptom Monitoring: Monitor symptoms of depression, including mood fluctuations, changes in appetite or sleep patterns, and overall emotional well-being, and communicate any concerns or changes to healthcare providers for timely intervention.
Emotional Support: Offer compassionate and empathetic support to our mother, providing reassurance, validation, and comfort amidst the challenges of living with chronic illness and depression. Foster a nurturing and supportive environment conducive to emotional healing and well-being.
Family Education: Provide education and guidance to family members on supporting our mother’s mental health, including communication strategies, understanding depression symptoms, and offering practical support and encouragement.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with healthcare providers, including nephrologists, mental health professionals, and social workers, to ensure coordinated care and optimize treatment strategies for managing depression and promoting overall mental health and well-being.
Requirements:
Certification as a registered nurse with experience in mental health or chronic illness management.
Proficiency in medication management for depression, including knowledge of antidepressant medications, potential side effects, and monitoring protocols.
Familiarity with psychotherapy techniques and interventions for treating depression, and experience in coordinating therapy sessions with licensed mental health professionals.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate support to patients and their families dealing with mental health challenges.
