Project Overview:
We are seeking an experienced nursing team specializing in palliative care and oncology to provide comprehensive support for our family member with advanced-stage cancer. This project involves implementing a complex pain management regimen, delivering palliative care support, and providing emotional counseling to address the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of the patient and her family.
Responsibilities:
– **Pain Management:**
– Conduct a thorough pain assessment to determine the nature, intensity, and underlying causes of the patient’s pain, utilizing validated pain assessment tools and techniques.
– Develop and implement a personalized pain management regimen tailored to the patient’s individual needs and preferences, incorporating a combination of pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions to achieve optimal pain control.
– **Palliative Care Support:**
– Provide comprehensive palliative care support to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient, focusing on improving her quality of life and promoting comfort and dignity.
– Offer symptom management interventions to alleviate distressing symptoms such as pain, nausea, fatigue, dyspnea, and constipation, utilizing evidence-based approaches and interdisciplinary collaboration.
– **Emotional Counseling:**
– Offer emotional counseling and support to the patient and her family members, providing a safe and supportive space to express their feelings, fears, and concerns related to the cancer diagnosis and treatment.
